2929 International has planted Vadim Perelman’s hot Toronto fest acquisition title In Bloom in 15 territories worldwide.
The director’s follow-up to House of Sand and Fog follows the survivor of a Columbine High School-style rampage (Uma Thurman) near the 15th anniversary of the shooting. The story jumps between her present day torment and her experiences with a friend during the event. Evan Rachel Wood plays the young Thurman and Eva Amurri plays her high school friend.
The film was presold to Benelux (MS Trading/Paradiso), Canada (TVA Films), Eastern Europe (MGN/Paradise), Israel (United King), France (Metropolitan), Greece (Odeon), Indonesia (PT Amero), Italy (Media Film), Japan (Desperado), Korea (Pan Cinema), Middle East (ECS), Portugal (Lusomundo), Spain (Manga), Thailand (Jbic), and Turkey (Aqua Group).
Cinetic Media and CAA are handling domestic sales. In an odd bit of synergy, CAA agent Bart Walker announced he was leaving CAA on Thursday to become a partner in Cinetic, which is launching a new Cinetic Management division, Other territories still to be sold are Germany, Australia, the United Kingdom and Latin America.

I just came across this article at the NY Daily News Gossip section. I have no idea if there’s any truth to it but it is certainly be great if Eva has really been named a goodwill ambassador for the United Nations Association of the USA!
Like mother, like daughter - to a point.
Rising actress Eva Amurri inherited her mom Susan Sarandon’s philanthropic streak. After a trip to Africa earlier this summer, she has just been named a goodwill ambassador for the United Nations Association of the USA.
But other parts of the legacy, not so much.

Welcome to the brand new version of Eva-Amurri.com!
First of all, I must apologize for the overtly long downtime. I was going to re-open the site way back in June but I came to a technical hitch and was unable to solve the problem. Then I moved house and lost my internet for two months. I finally got it back and was able to put some much needed work into this site… And here we are! Without further ados, Mycah created this wonderful new layout for us. I hope you like it as much as I do! All of the pages have been revamped and updated with new information. Be sure to view the gallery for stunning new pictures of Eva, including stills from Charlie Banks. We are also looking for new affiliates so do not hesitate to apply!
A lot has been going on in the world of Miss Amurri as of recent. She was seen at the Tribeca Film Festival promoting Charlie Banks back in April and has been getting great reviews for her performance as Mary! In Bloom will premiere next month at the Toronto Film Festival. And she has a new movie coming up, Animals, her first horror flick! Read all about it here.

July 10th, 2007 • Cast Additions to Middle of Nowhere

Director John Stockwell has just added three new actors to the cast of his latest project. According to Variety, Anton Yelchin, Justin Chatwin and Willa Holland have all joined the romantic comedy Middle of Nowhere.
The film revolves around a young woman who rebels when she finds out that her mother has spent all of her college savings on her sister’s aspirations to become Miss America. Eva Amurri and mother Susan Sarandon star in the film.
Middle of Nowhere is scheduled to start shooting this summer.
