Susan Sarandon has spent much of her career campaigning for causes and helping those less fortunate. Its seems the Oscar winner’s philanthropy and good will has rubbed off on her daughter. Eva Amurri, who has followed her mother’s lead and found a career in acting, has been named as a Goodwill Ambassador by the United Nations. Amurri, 22, recently traveled to Nambia as part of the HERO initiative with the U.N. The star spent her time in Africa looking at schools and volunteering. The Saved star painted dorm rooms and worked in an after-school camp with local children. Amurri said, “Being in Namibia this past July and working with the kids has been such an enlightening experience and I’m looking forward to returning in the future.” Amurri joins celebrities such as Angelina Jolie and Geri Halliwell in her new role with the U.N.
